Liquid Garden
A garden that only exists on water: glass flowers held in reflection, rippling when touched, growing new ones from a typed name before letting them go.
A simple thing, really. I love flowers, and I love receiving them.
There's a Chinese phrase for this, 镜花水月, the flower in the mirror, the moon in the water. A Buddhist image, originally, for how all things are illusion and impermanence. Poets later borrowed it for a beauty so far off you can see it perfectly and still never hold it.
So I built a garden that only exists on water. Touch it and it ripples. Pick a flower and it blooms into glass and gold. Type a name that isn't in the garden yet, and it grows one for you, then lets it settle back into reflection.
You can't keep a real flower, and you can't keep this one either. It was only ever meant to be appreciated.
